Dost in Need is a private, non-commercial circle of friends. We collect only what we need to run our circle, and we never sell, rent or share your information for advertising.

What we collect

• Members: your name, email address, optional phone number, and an encrypted (hashed) password that nobody — including us — can read.
• Contact form: your name, email address and message.
• Security records: dates of logins and important account actions, with the internet (IP) address used, to protect accounts from misuse.

How we use it

• To let members log in and take part in the circle.
• To send invitations, password-reset links, meeting information and replies to messages.
• To keep the website secure.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics.

Who can see your information

Only the circle's administrators can see member contact details. Our website is hosted by GoDaddy, which stores the data on our behalf. We do not share your information with anyone else unless required by law.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep member information while you are a member. You may ask us at any time to correct or delete your information; we will do so unless we must keep a record for legal or security reasons. Security records are kept for up to 12 months.

Sensitive information

Please do not send or upload account numbers, Social Security, Aadhaar or PAN numbers, or original legal documents through this website.
